Meet the Author: Oluwabunmi Adaramola

By day, Bunmi Adaramola is an academic; by night, a hopeless romantic crafting stories that explore love, longing, and the complexities of human emotions. Known for her vivid imagination and deep love for cheesy romance novels, Bunmi’s storytelling is both tender and emotionally raw.

Her short story, Palmwine Promises, was featured in Brittle Paper’s 2023 Festive Anthology, and her works have graced platforms like The Kalahari Review, The African Writer, The SprinNG Literary Movement, Akpata Magazine, Noisy Streetss, AfriHill Press, and KePress Anthologies (2024). Her story, Say My Name When the Crow Calls, was also shortlisted for the 2024 Akpata Editor’s Choice Prize for Fiction.

When she’s not weaving compelling narratives, Bunmi can be found daydreaming about amala or indulging in her unhealthy caffeine addiction, because, of course, no bibliophile’s stack of romance novels is complete without a cup of coffee in hand.
